AEOS 004

Today started off like most Tuesdays and Thursdays do. I got up at about 8, got ready for the day, checked my email, and started walking to class. I got to class and heard that, surprise, we were going to have a model. A nude model. Now, it's not that I knew I wasn't going to have to draw a nude model eventually. It's that the professor just sprung it on the entire class. I mean, I've never drawn anyone in the nude before, and I had no time to prepare myself. If I weren't so dark, I would have been bright red the first 15 minutes of class. My face was burning. I think my sketches turned out okay though. I tried not to look at any part of our model too long though, so who knows how it turned out, really? Well, here's to drawing naked people!

Welp, I went out skateboarding for all of 10 minutes and I cut the back of my ankle. That's not the issue though. The issue here is: Why are band-aids not the same color as me? Isn't that why they're beige? So that they don't stick out so much? I mean, they make band-aids
with stars and Disney characters, so I know they can make them different colors. Hm, I don't think I'm advocating multi-racial band-aids. That'd be silly. I guess they just make them a color that's sort of in between for a lot of skin tones. I thought it was funny though. I remember growing up and wondering why you could tell when I had a band-aid so much more than you could tell when one of my friends did. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm a tad darker than most of them ever were.

But yeah. I had Greek salad for lunch today. It wasn't all that big, but for some reason, I've been feeling gross all day since then. It had feta cheese and olives on it, as well as some kind of oil and vinegar concoction. (I'm guessing) There were carrots... which I'm allergic to, but I didn't eat those. What's wrong with my body?!

Soooo.... no one reads this anyway yet. Um... I'm skipping today's comic. ^__^ Happy Birthday, Kitty!
